What to expect when you order from us

About Shell's Sugar

Shell's Sugar is a cottage food operation in Redmond, Washington, operated by Travis and Shelly Pruitt. We create custom edible-ink-printed sugar cookies. By placing an order, you agree to the following terms.

Ordering

  • Pricing: Custom cookies are $5 per cookie.
  • Minimum order: 6 cookies ($30).
  • Maximum order: 48 cookies ($240) per order. For larger orders, please contact us.
  • Payment: Payment is arranged separately after your order is confirmed. We will reach out with payment details.
  • Order confirmation: Placing an order through our website is a request. Your order is confirmed once we follow up with you directly.

Custom Designs

  • Cookie designs are created based on the details you provide during the ordering conversation.
  • AI-generated preview images are approximations — final cookies may differ slightly in color and detail.
  • We reserve the right to decline orders with inappropriate, offensive, or copyrighted content (e.g., licensed characters without permission).
  • Reference photos you provide are used only for design guidance and are not reproduced directly.

Delivery

  • Area: We deliver within a 50-mile radius of Redmond, WA.
  • Cost: Delivery is free for all orders within our service area.
  • Timing: We will coordinate delivery timing with you after your order is confirmed. Orders typically require 5–7 days lead time.
  • No pickup: We do not offer pickup at this time.

Allergens & Food Safety

All of our cookies are 100% vegan and gluten free. Our cookies are made in a home kitchen and may contain or come into contact with:

  • Soy (in some icing ingredients)

As a Washington State cottage food operation, our products are exempt from certain commercial food regulations. Made in a home kitchen that is not routinely inspected. If you have specific allergies or dietary concerns, please contact us before ordering.

Cancellations & Refunds

  • Orders may be cancelled with at least 72 hours notice before the planned delivery date for a full refund.
  • Cancellations within 72 hours of delivery may be subject to a partial charge, as ingredients and production may have already begun.
  • If you are unsatisfied with your cookies, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery. We will work with you to make it right.

Cottage Food Disclosure

Per Washington State cottage food laws (RCW 69.22): This product is homemade and is not prepared in a facility inspected by the Department of Agriculture or a local health jurisdiction.

Limitation of Liability

Shell's Sugar provides custom food products on an "as-is" basis. We are not liable for allergic reactions if allergen information was not requested or disclosed. Our total liability for any order shall not exceed the amount paid for that order.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
